In the elections held in Bihar, India, the coalition of the ruling parties has won the majority. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal United (JDU), along with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), won the majority. The coalition has won a total of 125 seats, while the opposition grand coalition has won only 110 seats.
The Rastriya Janata Dal (RJD), led by Tejaswi Yadav, son of former chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, has become the largest party with 75 seats. The BJP is in the second position with 74 seats while the JDU of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has won only 43 seats.
According to the new election results, the current Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is likely to become the Chief Minister again. But Nitish Kumar faces a lot of challenges and threats due to the fact that his party has far fewer seats than the BJP.
Nitish Kumar has already said that he will be the Chief Minister of Bihar for the last time. Nitish Kumar, who has been the Chief Minister for three terms, will now be the Chief Minister for the fourth time. As soon as the results became public, NDA supporters staged a victory rally. He described the current results as support for the current central and state governments.
